Over time our lips can become less defined and lack natural colour. The lip treatments can help to re- define this area and add beautiful subtle colour.
Lip liner- gives definition to the natural lip line and can help to correct imperfections.
Lip blush blend – is the most popular lip enhancement treatment and includes the lip liner treatment with further blending of the colour into the body of the lip.
Full lip colour – includes the lip liner treatment with the colour being blended in full, throughout the body of the lip.
What is Involved?
Firstly a full, confidential consultation is carried out to discuss the clients desired look and expectations. Also the right colour and pigment is chosen and tried upon the skin.
At the appointment anaesthetic is applied to the treatment area and dependant on the treatment a drawing of the treatment to be carried out drawn on the skin in a soft wax pencil. This enables the client to have a preview of the shape and contours of the treatment to agree to them prior to the procedure. Also this provides a template for the technician to follow.
The pigment is then carefully implanted into the skin. Most procedures will take a couple of hours to complete and a second visit for a re-touch procedure may be required within around 6 weeks of the initial procedure.
The first 2 weeks following the procedure is when the colour implanted begins to stabilize and appears much darker to begin with. As healing takes place the colour will reduce by 30-50%. Once the area has fully healed a top up procedure can then be determined.
How long does it last?
The procedure is permanent as the pigment implanted will always remain in the upper section of the dermal layer of the skin, however the colour does fade over time as the skin rejuvenates and with exposure to the sun. A colour boost is recommended every 12-18mths to keep the look fresh and defined.
Does it hurt?
A numbing agent is used prior to and during the procedure so there is no need to worry. Some clients may experience a scratching sensation or a feeling of pressure whilst others experience no discomfort at all.
